GUIDELINES
FOR
STUDY / ACTION TEAMS

A. Each Study / Action Team shall elect their chairperson
and select, as needed, other necessary assistants.
B. Each Study / Action Team shall follow consensus
decision-making.
C. Standards of Operation:
1.
All work, at all times, will be in accord with the mission,
goals, strategies, and policies of the Conifer Area
Council.
2. All work of each Study / Action Team will be authorized
through the Yearly Agenda set at the Annual Meeting or
other general membership meeting, or based upon other needs
of the community, as approved by the Board.
3. Each Study / Action Team will have a CAC Board member as
a liaison. Board member liaison is expected to attend
meetings or provide a Board replacement member if unable to
attend.

Roles for Study / Action Teams
1. Study will consist of:
a. Defining the issue clearly, in coordination with the
Board liaison.
b.
Determining research based on information and facts from a
variety of sources. Sources of information must be
documented and reputable.
c. Maintaining an objective balance at all times.
2. Action will consist of:
a. Developing ways to communicate research to the Board.
b. Assisting the Board on presenting information to the
community.
c. Determining further action, with Board approval, if
needed.
